Before Jesus I was alone, struggling with a lot of mental health problems, and just overall depressed. I eventually go to the point of self harm, I had a lot of problems already but I had no idea what was coming for me. My 8th grade year someone attempted to sexually assault me in my school bathroom. After that, everything became way worse and I had finally hit my rock bottom. My grades got bad, I lost motivation, and I just wasn't myself anymore. Then I started coming to our youth program in January. My life was completely changed. I was saved during xyc 2025. It was such a big moment for me. I took many steps to improve my faith and bond with God. I was baptized September 14th 2025 where I finally got to publicly declare myself as a child of God. This is when I was reborn again, I didn't have to be that depressed and weighed down version of myself anymore. I was made new by the blood of Jesus. To this day I serve in 3rd-5th grade classes here at X. I'm also apart of our "Youth Serve Team" for our high school youth program. Outside of church I spend a lot of my time telling kids younger than me my story so they know that you can get out of that hole, as long as you have Jesus with you through the journey. Jesus saves, and I am just one example of that.
